Care Instruction for Tri-ply Cookware
First Use:
- Remove all packaging materials and labels before washing your new cookware in warm soapy water.
- Rinse and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
Cooking:
- ALWAYS refer to your cooktop manufacturer’s instructions before using this cookware.
- Although the handles are designed to minimized heat transfer, they may become hot especially during prolonged cooking. We always recommend the use of protective mitts and other heat resistant accessories when handling hot cookware.
- The tri-ply construction makes this cookware highly conductive, requires only MEDIUM to LOW heat to sauté, boil, fry, sear or cook most foods. Overheating may cause discoloration which is irreversible but will not alter performance.
- ALWAYS select a cookware base size which match to the cooktop heat zone and DO NOT allow flames to extend up sides wall of cookware and overheat handles.
- NEVER put old water, frozen foods or ice into hot cookware, sudden temperature changes may cause warping.
Maintenance
- Use silicone, heat-resistant plastic or wooden utensils. Metal tools may scratch the cooking surface.
- Cool the cookware before washing to prevent warping.
- Dishwasher-safe, use alkaline-based detergents to dissolve grease, oil, and fats.
- Hand-washing with hot soapy water and dry immediately is highly recommended to preserve the original finish.
- Do not use bleach, chlorinated cleaners, harsh or rough materials to clean.
- To remove stubborn residues, soak with mild soap and water and scrub with a nonabrasive pad and quality stainless steel cleanser if necessary, avoid using steel wool.
- The cookware has a polished exterior, wipe it with soft cloth to prevent scratches.
- This cookware is not designed for storing food, pitting may occur if very salty or acidic foods are left in the cookware for long periods of time.
Caution
- NEVER leave cookware unattended and keep children away from the cooktop while cooking.
- NEVER use glass lids that have cracks, scratches or nicks and NEVER attempt to repair damaged cookware.
- ALWAYS tilt to direct steam away from you and face away from steam vent while removing glass lid.
- ALWAYS keep the handles away from the edge of the cooktop to prevent accident.
- DO NOT leave the handles directly over a heat source, they may become hot to the touch.
- DO NOT heat the empty cookware or allow it to boil dry.
- DO NOT use in a microwave.
